I found the comments on this entry are closed on the WordPress Thesis Theme very annoying. Luckily you can take it off easily. Just place this code in your Custom CSS in Thesis Theme and you should be set. Let me know how this works for you.
.format_text .to_comments {visibility: hidden;}

Your trick works fine on WordPress posts, but I noted they notation still shows up on WordPress pages. Can you suggest a code to put in the custom.css file that would also work with pages?
