Write content for your local market.  If you live and do your business in Phoenix don’t worry about trying to get searches for Apache Junction.  You may want to start offering information on specific area’s, master planned communities and developments.  The Biltmore is a high end exclusive neighborhood in Phoenix.  You may want to write about local matters or even provide foreclosure information.  The more focused you write your posts and pages the more focused the traffic you will receive.  You may not receive the high volumes of traffic if your content was more broad in focus but you will be getting the right kind of traffic.

Just avoid writing about yourself.  You might be interesting to yourself but nobody is really interested in the history of a top lister.  They way people search on the internet is to find information.  If they don’t see what they want they will move on quickly.  Make your content for your website interesting and compelling.  Who knows you may start to attract a following which will in turn provide you with new customers.
